Shastri also Stated that if Dhoni did not want the captaincy, then Faf should have been the captain and CSK should not have let Faf Du Plessis go because he is match-winner and has lots of playing experience. This way Jadeja could have been a player and would have been able to play freely, without the pressure of the captaincy on him.

The team has not been able to perform and players have also been out of form this season like Ruturaj Gaikwad and other key players have not been able to leave a mark this season.

The New Recruit of this season Shivam Dube has been the top scorer at 112 runs with Robin Uthappa being the close second.

CSK has not been alone this season in the winless group Record Champions Like Mumbai Indians in the four matches they have played so far.
